Virtuosos of Summer
We say goodbye to the 2017 season of Classical Tahoe in a concert that begins with the flowing, atmospheric Summer Evening of Kodaly, reminiscent of “the ripples of the Adriatic,” and then the Latin flavor returns once again in sinuous, smoldering Brazilian dances with orchestra featuring soloist Whitney Crockett (Principal Bassoon, Los Angeles Philharmonic.) In the fiery season Finale, Beethoven’s dramatic Concerto for Violin and Orchestra features the stellar Avery Fischer Career Grant winner Itamar Zorman in one of the world’s most demanding violin pieces – sure to raise everyone to their feet as the season comes to a close.
